WARGEL NAMED FARM CREDIT AGRICULTURE SCHOLAR

Twenty-eight Students Receive $2,000 to Pursue Ag Careers

 

Kinser Wargel, of Clinton, was recognized as one of 28 members of the class of 2019 Farm Credit agriculture scholars during a luncheon at Farm Credit Illinois (FCI) in Mahomet Thursday.

 

Each scholar receives $2,000 from FCI to pursue a degree within the field of agriculture. Recipients were selected from 120 applicants throughout central and southern Illinois by a panel of judges in the agriculture industry.

 

This fall Wargel will attend the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to study agricultural and
consumer economics, farm management with hopes to work for his father's farm management business. He is the son of Thomas and Claudine Wargel of Clinton.
