Mt. Pulaski's 175th Anniversary Celebration This Weekend

Mt. Pulaski's 175th Anniversary gets underway today for the weekend. A weekend full of activities and food and music await those attending.

Things kick off with the golf outing at the Lincoln Elks Golf Course in Lincoln at 8 am.

There will be a carnival at the East Park in Mt. Pulaski throughout the weekend.

There will also be musical performances going on throughout the weekend. The music gets underway this afternoon with some Blue Grass music at the courtyard bandstand at 1:30. There will also be various bands performing all through the weekend.

There will be a wine tasting going on throughout the afternoon hours each day of the event.

There will be a fish fry from 4-8 pm Friday . The city also has former classes returning for the weekend to be a part of the celebration.

A pancake breakfast kicks off Saturday at 7 am at the General Food Tent. The musical performances will continue on as well as continued carnival and children's activities. Saturday also features an Abraham Lincoln impersonator walking around. Other activities on Saturday include a gun shoot, a magician, and a comedian performing as well.

Sunday a community potluck will take place at 12:30. Zion Lutheran will be hosting a pork chop dinner from 4-8pm and music will continue through the day once again.

The 4-day celebration wrap up Monday, and getting things started will be a flea market at 8am and will run through the morning and afternoon hours. The VFW will be putting on a chicken dinner at 11 am and things wrap up with the annual 4th of July fireworks display beginning at 9 pm.
