Central Illinois Police Cracking Down on Drugs

Central Illinois police are cracking down on drugs and they say a recent arrest should send a message to drug dealers in the community.  Authorities arrested Kyle Mason on a search warrant, after he picked up a package containing two pounds of marijuana from a post office in Cooksville.  McLean County Sheriff Mike Emery says the investigation involves other rural McLean County communities.

Police say Mason's package was delivered from California, where medical marijuana is legal.  The street value of the drugs is worth eight-thousand dollars.  He faces charges of manufacturing and delivering cannabis.  Bond has been set at 100-thousand dollars.
