Clinton Chamber Golf Outing Recap

Close to 30 business people recently took to the Clinton Country Club for the Annual Chamber Golf Outing.

The Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau recently held its annual golf outing. Despite a perfect afternoon provided by mother nature, the numbers this year were a bit down. However, Executive Director of the Chamber, Marion Brisard says this years event was a success.

The 7 teams of 4 players took to the links to compete for several prizes. The highlight of the prizes was the $10,000 hole-in-one prize sponsored by Peterson Insurance, and while no one was able to get the elusive hole-in-one, president of the Clinton Chamber, Scott Williamson says there were plenty of exciting donated prizes at this years event.

Dexter Peterson was one of the organizers of this years event, says while numbers were a little down at this year's event, he says organizers were anticipating not having as good of a turn out like in years past. He adds the golf outing is a good networking opportunity for the local businesses.

The winner of this years event was the State Bank of Lincoln. Dustin Peterson was the winner of the raffle that gave away the air travel vouchers.

The Chamber of Commerce thanks those who participated in the outing, as well as those local businesses that sponsored the event.  Plans for next year's Golf Outing will get underway later this year.
