Attorney General Lisa Madigan is stepping up the effort to combat child pornography by promoting a program created to track illegal images on the Internet. Madigan says the new technology should get at the heart of the problem.

PhotoDNA was developed by Microsoft and donated to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children for purpose of tracking child pornography. Madigan will meet with some of the nations biggest Internet companies, such as Yahoo and Comcast, later this week to ask them to adopt the photo identification technology.
