DJWH Has New Board President

The Dr. John Warner Hospital has a new Board President.

Earlier in the week Randy Workman was appointed the President of the Dr. John Warner Hospital Board. Workman has served on the board for several years now. He says he has enjoyed his time serving on the board and looks forward to serving as the leader of the board.

The hospital board is the primary decision making body for the hospital. They set the budget and make a lot of the financial decisions. Workman says being the Board President is going to make him a lot more involved and working closely with the administrators.

Workman says he is looking forward to working with CEO Earl Sheehy. He says Sheehy has done a lot of good things in the one year period he has been with the Hospital. He says Sheehy has a lot of experience and looks forward to working him to help keep the hospital financially strong.

Workman was appointed to the board Monday to replace Julie North, who stepped down due to a career related matter, however, will continue to serve on the board. Each member of the Hospital board is a volunteer.
