Bloomington Woman Arrested in Fork Stabbing

A Bloomington woman has been jailed after her boyfriend accused her of stabbing him with a fork and hitting him with a hatchet.

McLean County prosecutors say police arrested 33-year-old Tonya Bean on Monday on preliminary charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and domestic battery. She was jailed on $30,000 bond.

Bean hasn't entered a plea. She couldn't be reached for comment because there's no telephone listed for her.

According to prosecutors, Bean stabbed Frank Short with a knife during a dispute in their home. Short tried to take a shower and was stabbed with the fork.

Prosecutors contend Bean later also hit Short with the hatchet. Afterward, Short walked to a nearby business. He had visible injuries, but there's no word on his current condition.
