Illinois' county by county unemployment numbers for August were released yesterday afternoon.
Illinois saw zero job growth between July and August.
In DeWitt County, unemployment jumped from 8.1% to 8.3%.
In Piatt County, unemployment jumped a whole percentage point, from 7.5% to 8.5%.
Logan County saw a 0.2% drop in their unemployment, down to 8.3%.
McLean and Champaign County saw zero job growth for the month of August, while Macon County saw a drop, from 10.7% to 10.4%.
Sangamon County's unemployment jumped to 7.6%, up just 0.1%, while Tazewell County's dropped 0.1% to 7.9%.
The highest unemployment rate in any Illinois county was in Alexander, which was at 14.4%, up by almost a full percent, 0.7%.
The lowest rate was in Brown County at 4.5%, up by 0.1%.
