>>Colts' Irsay Fires Polians

(Indianapolis, IN)  --  The Indianapolis Colts are making changes at the top.  Owner Jim Irsay fired vice chairman Bill Polian and his son and general manager Chris Polian Monday.  The move came one day after the Colts tied for the worst record in the NFL at 2-and-14, earning the top pick in the April draft.  Indianapolis played without perennial Pro Bowl quarterback Peyton Manning, who missed the entire year following offseason neck surgery.  Bill Polian drafted Manning with the number-one pick in 1998.  The Colts won eight division titles, a Super Bowl and made 11 playoff appearances during his tenure.  Chris Polian had been the team's GM since 2009.  Head coach Jim Caldwell did not lose his job.

>>Rams To Talk To Fisher

(St. Louis, MO)  --  Now in need of a new head coach, the Rams could turn to Jeff Fisher.  The "Post-Dispatch" reports the Rams will speak later this week with the former Tennessee Titans head coach about their vacant position.  Rams owner Stan Kroenke says there are advantages to hiring a coach with experience and they won't necessarily wait until hiring a new general manager.
