Clinton Board of Education Recieves Update From Referendum Campaign Team

The Clinton Board of Education held a special work session Wednesday evening.

The agenda included updates from the referendum campaign team, a technology update and discussion on the future of technology in Clinton schools, and reviews of smaller items as well. According to Dr. Jeff Holmes, Superintendent of Clinton Schools, says the Board received an update of where the campaign team is at and what the future looks like for them.

Dr. Holmes feels there is a misconception in the community that the district will be raising taxes to finances the new building. On the contrary, he says the campaign team will be trying to raise awareness to the community that no taxes will be raised.

The campaign team will begin moving forward with the a door-to-door campaign in late February to make the community aware of the question on the ballot and also answer any questions residents they encounter may have.
