Playoff Matchup Previews; Hurd Arraigned

>>Sam Hurd To Be Arraigned

(Dallas, TX)  --  A former NFL player accused of trying to buy drugs from an undercover officer will be in court later this month.  Sam Hurd is set to be arraigned in Dallas on January 25th following a months-long investigation that began in north Texas.  Hurd allegedly told an undercover officer while having dinner in Chicago last month that he wanted to buy large amounts of cocaine and marijuana.  Authorities arrested him when he allegedly left the restaurant with a kilo of cocaine.  He was let go from the Chicago Bears shortly after his arrest.

>>Packers Host Giants In Playoff Rematch

(Green Bay, WI)  --  The defending Super Bowl champion Packers host the New York Giants in the final matchup of the Divisional Round on Sunday.  The Packers earned the top seed in the NFC after going 15-and-1 in the regular season.  One of those wins was a 38-35 road triumph over the Giants in Week 13.  New York foiled the Falcons 24-2 in a Wild Card game in the Meadowlands last week.  The G-Men also famously notched a 23-20 overtime win over the Packers at Lambeau Field in the NFC Championship Game in 2008.

>>Tebow, Broncos In Foxboro This Weekend

(Foxboro, MA)  --  Tebow-mania invades Foxboro tomorrow night as the Denver Broncos take on the top-seeded New England Patriots in an AFC Divisional Playoff matchup at Gillette Stadium.  The Broncos are coming off a stunning 29-23 overtime win against the Pittsburgh Steelers this past Sunday.  Tim Tebow connected with Demaryius Thomas on an 80-yard touchdown pass on the first play of overtime to give Denver the win.  New England enjoyed a first-round bye and has home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs.  The Pats beat the Broncos 41-23 in Week 15 of the regular season.

(Lake Forest, IL)  --  The Chicago Bears continue their search for a new quarterbacks coach.  The Bears reportedly interviewed former Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Greg Olson for the position on Thursday.  Chicago is also looking at Jacksonville offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter [[ Cutter ]], University of Miami offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch and former Seahawks offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates.
