The Monticello Sages faced off against the Meridian Hawks this evening. The Sages felt good coming off of a win from Clinton last week, and were ready to take on the Hawks. Both teams came out hard in the first quarter, keeping the lead a juggle. At the end of the half the Hawks had a lead of 32-29 over the Sages. However, coming back out into the action the Sages stepped up their defense and managed to take the lead in the third and hold onto it through the fourth. The final score of tonight's game was 68-57 in favor of the Monticello Sages. They move to 5-9 overall.
