>>Grizzlies Roll Over Rose-Less Bulls On MLK Day

(Memphis, TN)  --  Rudy Gay netted a game-high 24 points as the Grizzlies cruised to a 102-86 win over the Bulls at FedExForum to kick off the NBA's slate of afternoon games on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  Luol Deng led Chicago with 20 points.  C.J. Watson chipped in with 17 points for the Bulls, who had their winning streak halted at five games.  Derrick Rose sat out with a lingering toe injury.  Chicago returns to the United Center this evening to host the Phoenix Suns.

>>Rose Finalist For 2012 U.S. Olympic Team

(Colorado Springs, CO)  --  Derrick Rose is one of 20 finalists for the 2012 U.S. Olympic men's basketball team.  Rose was a member of the 2010 USA World Championship team that claimed the gold medal in Istanbul, Turkey.  The official 12-man U.S. Olympic team roster will be announced later this year.  The London Games are scheduled to begin July 27th.

(New York, NY)  --  Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose has been named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week.  Rose averaged 24 points and 9.3 assists in 38.8 minutes in four games as the Bulls ripped off five straight victories.  Rose recorded two double-doubles this past week, including a 31-point, 11-assist performance in a 111-100 victory over the Timberwolves.
