Webinars Through U of I Extension Focus On Risk Management

Small farm operators have an opportunity to take advantage of a couple "webinars" through their local Extension Office.

The "Webinars" begin this Monday January 23. Local Food System and Small Farms Coordinator with the University of Illinois Extension offices of DeWitt, Macon and Piatt Counties Paul Meriman explains the webinars will focus on risk management for small farms.

Meriman says while the classes are focused towards small farms, he feels the material will be pertinent towards anyone in business as the material will be a lot of focus towards preparing for things that are unexpected on an operation.

The series of four classes again, kick off Monday January 23. Registration is due by the end of the day today. For more information or to get registered, you can call your local University of Illinois Extension office, in DeWitt County it is 935-5764, in Macon County at 217-877-6042, and in Piatt County at 217-762-2191.
