In a game heard on WHOW, the Clinton Maroons were defeated by the Tolono-Unity Rockets with an unimpressive final score of 56-25. The Maroons' lack of scoring throughout the game handed the game to the Rockets as they advance to a 15 and 3 record with a 6 and 1 record in the OVC. The Clinton Maroons fall to 3 and 16 overall and 0 and 7 in the OVC. The Rockets were led by Taylor Black who scored 17 points in the game. Junior Dylan Scott led the Maroons' scoring with 9 points and senior Matt Chandler had 4 points.
The Clinton Junior Varsity boys' basketball team defeated the Rockets with a final score of 49-35. Also the Lady Maroons defeated the Meridian Hawks 54-50 in Decatur.
The Clinton Maroons varsity boys are back in actions Friday night at Warrensburg to take on the Cardinals. That game will be live on 92.3FM WHOW. 7pm tip.
