As heard on 95.9 WEZC on Monday night, the Monticello Sages defeated the Maroa-Forsyth Trojans by a score of 49-42.  The Sages were led by Tori Gadbury with 14 points.  Sara Foran added 10 points and Elise Pontious chipped in 9 points.  The Trojans were led by Breanna Livingood with 13 points. Kennedy Flasner followed with 12 points and Caitlin Snyder helped out with 8.  With the win, Monticello improves to 6-20 overall and 4-5 in the Okaw Valley Conference.  With the loss, Maroa-Forsyth drops to 8-15 on the year and 3-10 in the conference.  The Sages JV team was also victorious tonight with a final score of 38-19.  Tune in tomorrow as the Monticello boys play St. Teresa at 6 PM in the Okaw Valley Semi Finals.
