NFL Notes: Media Day At Super Bowl; Rams Owner Wants To Buy Dodgers

>>Giants, Patriots Take Part In Media Day

(Indianapolis, IN)  --  The New York Giants and New England Patriots spent the early portion of Tuesday meeting with reporters as part of the Super Bowl's annual Media Day.  Players and coaches from both teams set up shop at individual podiums on the Lucas Oil Stadium field and answered questions from hundreds of reporters about Sunday's big game.  For the first time ever, fans could purchase tickets to sit in the stands and listen to an audio feed of on-field interviews through radio receivers via the NFL Network.

Both teams showed signs of respect for their opponent, having already played during the regular season and, of course, more famously four years ago in Super Bowl 42 in Arizona.  The Giants upset the heavily-favored Patriots 17-14 that year, ending New England's bid for a perfect season.  The G-Men beat the Pats 24-20 in Foxboro in Week Nine this season.

>>Rams' Kroenke Bidding On Dodgers

(Los Angeles, CA)  --  Rams owner Stan Kroenke apparently has his sites set on acquiring a baseball team.  The "LA Times" reports Kroenke is one of at least eight bidders to advance beyond the first round of bidding to buy the Dodgers.  The Dodgers filed for bankruptcy last year.
