Illinois Man Charged With Trying To Run Down Jogger

A central Illinois man has been charged with trying on two separate occasions to run down a jogger with his car.

A grand jury indicted 47-year-old Todd Felmey of Eureka on an aggravated assault charge.

Felmey hasn't entered a plea. He couldn't be reached for comment Monday, and it isn't clear whether he has an attorney.

According to police, a woman jogging near Metamora on Jan. 24 said a car twice tried to hit her. She dove into a ditch but was able to note the car's license number.

The woman says she was targeted by a similar car in August.

The plate was traced to Felmey, and he was arrested Jan. 26.
