>>Bears Hire Bates As QB's Coach

(Lake Forest, IL)  --  The Chicago Bears reached an agreement with Jeremy Bates to become the team's new quarterbacks coach on Tuesday.  Bates is familiar with Chicago starter Jay Cutler, having worked with him for three seasons in Denver.  In 2008, his final season with the Broncos, Cutler excelled with Bates as his position coach, throwing for a franchise-record 4,526 yards.  Bates more recently served as the offensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks in 2010.

>>Rams Resume GM Search

(St. Louis, MO)  --  After a break for the Super Bowl, the Rams have resumed their general manager search.  The "Post-Dispatch" reports Minnesota's George Paton is the first candidate to interview twice, while San Francisco's Tom Gamble was the final candidate to get a first interview on Tuesday.
