Doug Whitley, with the Illinois Chamber of Commerce, says Illinois is a great state but it must take steps to get its fiscal house in order.

Governor Quinn is expected to call for a drastic reduction in state spending this year.  Whitley says that would be very bold move.

Whitley says the cost of business has to come down in Illinois so companies will feel safe doing business here.  He says lawmakers must tighten the purse strings and stop overspending.  Whitley says there are plenty of great opportunities in Illinois but leaders must reestablish it's position as being a jobs creator and a highly successful economy.
