DeWitt County voters have the opportunity to get better acquainted with local candidates running for office in the upcoming March primary.

The Warner Public Library and DeWitt County Farm Bureau are co-sponsoring a series of "Meet The Candidates" events this week.  Ken Bjelland (BEE-yell-and), Manager of the local Farm Bureau, explains the two agencies wanted to team up in an effort to better educate local voters.

Due to the large number of candidates for DeWitt County Board, there will be two "Meet The Candidates" nights.  Bjelland notes the candidates for DeWitt County Circuit Clerk and Board Districts A & B will appear Monday night, while candidates for Board Districts C & D are slated for Tuesday night.

Both events begin at 6:30pm on the respective nights, and will take place in the Revere Room at the Warner Public Library in Clinton.  Again, all of the candidates for local races in the March primary have been invited to attend.  Neither the DeWitt County Farm Bureau nor the Warner Library is endorsing any candidate or political party.
