Informational Meetings For Clinton Schools Bond Proposal This Week

Voters in the Clinton School District have the opportunity this week to learn more about the March 20 referendum.

Informational meetings will take place tonight and Thursday sponsored by "Yes for Clinton Schools' Bond Proposal", a committee composed of Clinton School District community members, headed by Renny Cluver. Cluver says whether the referendum passes or doesn't pass, the tax rate in the school district will not change. He says it boils down to providing students with a facility suitable for a 21st Century education, or renovating facilities he calls 'obsolete'.

Being a former educator, Cluver says he has seen the benefits a new building can serve to a district. He says this will not only benefit the students to a better education, but it will give the teachers of the district the tools to be better educators. Cluver again stresses, the only cost to the district's voters is a 'Yes' vote on March 20th.

The first information meeting is tonight at 7pm at the Kenney Community Center. The second meeting is Thursday at the Clinton United Methodist Church at 7 pm as well. Both meetings are sponsored by "Yes For Clinton Schools' Bond Proposal".
