>>Bears Release Anthony Adams

(Chicago, IL)  --  The Chicago Bears told defensive tackle Anthony Adams that he will be released despite having one-year left on his contract.  Adams has been with the Bears since 2007 and was going to earn $1.9 million in 2012.  Cutting Adams opens up $1.15 million in cap space. 

>>Report: Bears and Forte Working On New Deal

(Indianapolis, IN)  --  The "NFL Network" reported Bears free agent running back Matt Forte and the organization renewed contract talks this weekend at the NFL Scounting Combine.  Forte made the Pro Bowl for this first time in 2011.  "ESPN Chicago" reported previous talks failed with the Bears offering between $13 and $14 million guaranteed.
