Two More Meth Arrests Made In DeWitt County; Suspect Still At Large

On April 4, 2012, Betty Followell, (54) and Timothy Followell, (21) both of Clinton, Illinois were arrested on warrants for Methamphetamine manufacturing conspiracy and procurement of methamphetamine precursors, Class X felonies.  These additional arrests were a result of the four month investigation  into  methamphetamine  production  in the DeWitt County area conducted  by  Task  Force  6,  DeWitt County Sheriff’s Office, and Clinton Police  Department in cooperation with the DeWitt County State’s Attorney’s Office and the Illinois Department   of Children and Family Services.

One suspect, Kenneth Scheid, (45), last known address of Clinton, Illinois, remains at a large.  A warrant for his arrest was issued on March 14, 2012 for Methamphetamine manufacturing conspiracy and procurement of methamphetamine precursors, Class X felonies.   Anyone having information on his whereabouts is asked to contact their local Police Department.   
A class X felony is punishable from 6 years to 30 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.   

Task Force 6 is a multi-agency enforcement unit specializing in narcotics enforcement.  Task Force 6 is composed of officers from Bloomington Police Department, Clinton Police Department, DeWitt County Sheriff’s Department, McLean County Sheriff’s Department, Illinois State University Police Department, and the Illinois State Police.


THE PUBLIC IS REMINDED THAT CRIMINAL DEFENDANTS ARE PRESUMED INNOCENT UNTIL THE GOVERNMENT IS ABLE TO PROVE ITS CHARGES IN COURT BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT.
