Sages Top Central A&M; At Warrensburg-Latham This Afternoon

The Monticello Sages held off a late surge by the Central A & M Raiders Friday afternoon for a 5-4 win. The Sages were led offensively by Jacob Williams three hits, including a home run, two RBIs and a stolen base.

Austin Reed had a two hit day with a double and single and added stolen base. Ryan Bundy, Ross Reeder and Alex Foran each recorded a pair of hits for the Sages.

Nick Stokowski went six solid innings striking out 11 and picking up the win(4-0). 

Reed came on in the seventh to close things out for his first save.

The Sages are now 11-3 and off to a 2-0 Okaw Valley Conference start.

The Monticello Sages travel to Warrensburg this afternoon to take on the Cardinals at 4:30.
