Cyotes Slip Past Blackhawks; Hossa Injured

(Chicago, IL)  --  Mikkel Boedker made his first-career playoff goal count, netting the game-winner in overtime as the Coyotes defeated the Blackhawks, 3-2.  Rostislav Klesla and Ray Whitney scored in the third period, book-ending a tally by Chicago's Michael Frolik.  All three scores came in a span of 65 seconds.  Mike Smith made 35 saves for Phoenix, which grabs a two-games-to-one lead in the best-of-seven Western Conference quarterfinal series.  Andrew Brunette gave Chicago an early lead in the first period.  Corey Crawford made 31 stops for the Blackhawks, who host Game Four of the series on Thursday night.

(Chicago, IL)  --  Blackhawks forward Marian Hossa [[ HOE-suh ]] left on a stretcher in the first period of Tuesday's game between Chicago and the Phoenix Coyotes.  Hossa was on the receiving end of a brutal hit in the neutral zone by Coyotes forward Raffi Torres, who left his feet and made contact with Hossa's head.  Hossa was hospitalized, but later released.  Torres was not penalized on the play.  The Coyotes went on the win the game in overtime, 3-2, to take a two-games-to-one lead in the best-of-seven Western Conference Quarterfinal.  Game Four of the series is set for Thursday night.
