'Hawks Fall In OT; Blues Take Commanding 3-1 Lead

>>Coyotes Beat 'Hawks In OT In Game Four

(Chicago, IL)  --  Mikkel Boedker scored in overtime for the second straight game to give the Coyotes a 3-2 win over the Blackhawks in Game Four of their West quarterfinal series.  Boedker scored on a breakaway 2:15 into OT.  Shane Doan and Taylor Pyatt scored in the third period for Phoenix, which is a victory away from winning a playoff series for the first time since moving to the desert in 1996.  Mike Smith stopped 30 shots in the victory.  Brendan Morrison and Michael Frolik lit the lamp in the third for Chicago.  Corey Crawford made only 16 saves in the loss.  Every game in the series has gone to overtime.  Phoenix hosts Game Five Saturday.

>>Blues Edge Sharks To Take 3-1 Lead

(San Jose, CA)  --  Brian Elliott stopped 24 of the 25 shots he faced as the Blues edged the Sharks, 2-1, in Game Four of their West quarterfinal series.  Andy McDonald and B.J. Crombeen had the goals for St. Louis, which now holds a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.  Patrik Berglund and David Perron had two assists apiece in the victory.  Joe Thornton scored San Jose's only goal with 1:07 left in the third.  Antti Niemi gave up both goals on 24 shots for the Sharks in the loss.  The Blues will host Game Five Saturday night.
