Spurs Lock Up Top Spot In West; Bulls Looking To Lock Up East

The San Antonio Spurs locked up the top seed in the Western Conference playoffs with a 124-89 trouncing of the Portland Trail Blazers Monday night.  At 48-and-16, the Spurs are tied with the Chicago Bulls for the best overall record in the NBA.  Each team closes the regular season with games on Wednesday and Thursday.  The Spurs will meet either the Utah Jazz or the Phoenix Suns in the opening round of the playoffs.  The Jazz, who are a game ahead of Phoenix for the final playoff spot in the West, will host the Suns Tuesday night.
