Prosecutors in Peoria County have dropped prostitution-related charges against a Peoria city councilman.
Prosecutors dropped charges Tuesday against Dan Irving, saying they couldn't locate a witness needed to testify. Irving had pleaded not guilty to charges he patronized a prostitute. That charge is now dropped.
Irving was accused of paying for sex with an 18-year-old Iowa woman he met through a website.
He was initially charged with three felony counts of patronizing a prostitute but 2 of the counts were later dropped.
