The Monticello Sages defeated the Sullivan Redskins by a score of 3-2 in eight innings at Monticello High School. The Sages struggled to put runs on the board all afternoon but rallied in the bottom of the 7th to tie the game and then won it on a Nick Stokowski bases loaded hit-by-the-pitch to bring in the winning run. Stokowski went 2-3 with two RBIs, the game tying and winning RBI's, and picked up the win on the mound. He went eight innings, striking out 12, giving up two runs on seven hits with no walks. Andy Brown went seven innings for the Redskins, striking out eight, giving up two runs, one earned, on five hits with two walks. The Sages move to 14-5 and 5-2 in the Okaw Valley. The Redskins drop to 15-7 and 5-2 the OVC. The Sages travel to Urbana this afternoon.
