Bears, Rams Draft Notes

>>Bears Take McClellin In First Round Of NFL Draft

(New York, NY)  --  The three-day NFL Draft began with the first round last night at Radio City Music Hall.  The Chicago Bears selected Boise State linebacker Shea McClellin with the 19th overall pick.  The Bears wanted to add a pass rusher to compliment Julius Peppers.  The 6-foot-3, 260-pound McClellin can rush the passer or drop back and play outside linebacker.

>>Rams Trade Down Again

(New York, NY)  --  The Rams traded down for a second time in the first round of the NFL Draft.  After dealing the second-overall pick to the Washington Redskins in March, the Rams then sent the sixth-overall pick to Dallas last night for the 14th-overall selection and the Cowboys' second-round pick. After making the deal with Dallas, the Rams used the selection to draft LSU defensive tackle Michael Brockers.  At 6-foot-5, 322-pounds, Brockers is a physical specimen with great strength.  He's considered a better run stopper than pass rusher.
