DJWH Board of Directors Receives Three Resignations

The Dr. John Warner Hospital Board has received notice of three of their Board members resignations.

Julie North, Dr. Harold Weinberg, and BA Nelson have recently informed fellow Board members of their resignations. President of the DJWH Board of Directors, Randy Workman explains only Julie North's resignation is going to be immediate. He cites personal reasons as North's reason for resigning effective immediately.

Dr. Harold Weinberg has had his term on the Board pass, but Workman explains, a Board member can continue on until a replacement has been found. Workman says Dr. Weinberg cited his hearing issues as his reason to step away and adds a replacement for him is in the works.

Workman says BA Nelson decided she did not want her appointment renewed, as she felt it was time for her to step away.

Workman explains the appointments to the Board positions will be the responsibility of Clinton Mayor Carolyn Peters. While the decisions will be hers, Workman says they communicate often and he feels because Mayor Peters is very involved, it makes her very aware of the needs the Board has.

None of the resignations were controversial and Workman and Mayor Peters are working to find replacements for Nelson and North.
