Farmer's Market Kicks Off In Clinton Saturday

The Clinton Area Farmers and Artisan's market kicks off for the season this Saturday.

The market takes place each Saturday on the downtown Clinton Square until October, and this Saturday is their opening weekend. Elizabeth Burns, of the CAFAM, explains because of the crazy winter, she is not really sure what to expect for this first weekend, or moving forward.

There may not be as much variety this first weekend of the market in the area of produce as there will be in the middle of June, but Burns says because they are an artisans market, there will be lots of hand-made crafts and maybe even some baked goods.

Burns feels over the past decade there has been an increased awareness of where our food comes from. She believes the Farmer's Market is a good opportunity to bring communities together.
