May Days Features of Plenty Weekend Fun

Clinton's annual May Days festival is in full swing and the Chamber of Commerce has a full Saturday and Sunday of activities in store.

Saturday things get going bright and early at 8 am with the Farmers Market, which runs until noon. The 'Amazing Scramble', which is a spin off of "The Amazing Race" gets started at 9 am. Carolyn Sugg with the Clinton Chamber says there will be various prizes for those participating.

Other Saturday activities include a couple of concerts on the square and a motorcycle show. Registration for the motorcycle show is at 11:30 and the show starts at noon. The Clinton Fire Department and other area fire departments will be on hand for the waterball competition.

Sunday on the downtown square, married couples will be quizzed on how well they know each other. Sugg the game is a spin of "The Newly Weds" game.

The American Legion will be serving pork chops on the square Saturday afternoon. There will also be a concert on the square Saturday night.

Those making their way to the downtown area are encouraged to bring a canned good to donate to the DOVE Food Pantry.

All the events are downtown on Mr. Lincoln Square or within a block or two of the square.
