Superintendent of Clinton Schools Dr. Jeff Holmes is excited to have Gibson become a member of the Clinton Maroon program. He says Gibson is the complete package of what they were looking for. Not only is he a candidate that can take the basketball program to a new level, but he also fills a teaching position the district was looking to fill.

Coach Gibson realizes the importance of reaching out to the younger kids in the district and preparing them for the high school level. His first varsity program he took over, he had success the first year but because he had a lot of experience exit the program, he had to rebuild, and he feels doing that starts with preparing the 3rd and 4th grade athletes of the district.

Coach Gibson is not looking to use the Clinton program as a stepping stone. He says he is very interested in establishing some stability, and being a part of the Clinton community for the long haul. Coach Gibson's wife is also an educator and they have two young children.

As one of the younger basketball coaches the Okaw Valley Conference will have, Gibson's resume is already quite impressive.
