A judge in central Illinois has handed down a 30-year prison sentence for a 22-year-old homeless man who pleaded guilty to predatory criminal sexual assault of a child.
Judge Tom Difanis sentenced Ryan Hollingsworth on Monday.
Prosecutor Stephanie Weber says Hollingsworth could have gotten up to 60 years in prison for the crime, and she'd asked for a sentence "on the high end" of the range.
Police say Hollingsworth molested two girls under the age of 13. The girls were the children of a woman he knew.
At the time of his arrest, Hollingsworth was on probation after pleading guilty to criminal sexual abuse after admitting he sexually molested another child in Rantoul.
