Pierzynski, Paul Konerko, Alex Rios and Dayan Viciedo all hit solo home runs for Chicago, which has won six-of-seven. Nate Jones earned the win pitching an inning and two-thirds out of the bullpen. Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau [[ more-NO ]] each lifted a solo shot for Minnesota, which has lost two straight. Morneau drove in three runs and scored three times. Cole DeVries gave up three earned runs and six total over five-plus innings for the loss.

(St. Louis, MO) -- Ty Wigginton's solo homer in the eighth proved to be the difference as the Phillies edged the Cardinals, 10-9. Yadier Molina clubbed a two-run homer and Matt Holliday and David Freese each popped solo shots for St. Louis. Fernando Salas was saddled with the loss for the Cardinals, who were coming off a three-game sweep of San Diego. The Cards and Phil are back in action tonight.

(Chicago, IL) -- Chicago White Sox pitcher John Danks has been placed on the disabled list due to soreness in the back of his left throwing shoulder. Danks felt the soreness in his shoulder on Sunday and landed on the DL after his Thursday MRI. He is 3-and-4 with a 5.70 ERA so far this season. Carlos Quintana will be recalled from Birmingham and take his place in the rotation.
