Richland Community College is expanding its online learning services.

The Decatur based community college has made its online courses a flat rate of $140 a credit hour for anyone in the United States. Richland's Director of Online Learning Kona Jones says that this will help make the classes available for more people.

During the fall and spring semester, there are over 60 classes available online and during the summer semesters there are over 30 classes.

Jones says people who only have basic computer skills should not worry about the classes being too technologically advanced since all students have to go through an online orientation.

Jones adds that the only requirement needed for most of the classes is a high school diploma or GED.
