Investigation into the scene of an accident which occurred at approximately 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 28, revealed that a motorcycle driven by Mary Troyer, 53, Hudson, was traveling north on US Route 48 and intended to turn west into the Weldon Boat Access. She missed her turn and decided to turn around at McCord Cemetery. While slowing down her tires caught some loose gravel which caused her to lay the motorcycle down on the left side trapping her leg between the bike and the pavement. She suffered an abrasion on her left leg as a result of the accident. She was transported by ambulance to Advocate Bromenn Medical Hospital for further treatment.

 

Investigation into the scene of an accident which occurred at approximately 7:27 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, revealed that a vehicle driven by Marcella Maggi, 48, Mahomet, was traveling westbound on Illinois State Highway 10 just east of Illinois State Highway 48 when the vehicle left the roadway, driving onto the north gravel shoulder. She drove back onto the roadway and lost control, skidding sideways across the roadway entering the south ditch. The vehicle collided with the south ditch embankment, cause the vehicle to roll. Clinton Ambulance Service transported the Maggi to Carle Hospital for further treatment. The vehicle was towed from the scene. Maggi was issued a citation for Operating Uninsured Vehicle. Maggi was issued a notice to appear and was released.

 

James Flaningan, 42, Urbana, was issued a citation for Failure to Wear Seat Belt. Flaningan posted the necessary bond and was released.

 

Joshua Hoekstra, 18, Clinton, was issued citations for Failure to Reduce Speed/Accident and Operating Uninsured Vehicle. Hoekstra was issued a notice to appear and was released.

 

Carol Buettner, 62, Petersburg, was issued a citation for Speeding (70 mph in a 55 mph zone). Buettner posted the necessary bond and was released.

 

Timothy Rivera, 40, Lincoln, was issued a citation for Speeding (73 mph in a 55 mph zone). Rivera posted his IL Drivers License as bond and was released.

 

Joshua Wolfe, 26, Marquette Heights, was issued a citation for Speeding (84 mph in a 65 mph zone). Wolfe posted his IL Drivers License as bond and was released.

 

Karen Howell, 55, Morton, was issued a citation for Speeding (62 mph in a 45 mph zone). Howell posted her IL Drivers License as bond and was released.

 

David Rice, 41, Pickerington, OH, was issued a citation for Speeding (60 mph in a 45 mph zone). Rice promised to comply and was released.

 

Deborah Modesty, 36, Warrensburg, was issued a citation for Speeding (75 mph in a 55 mph zone). Modesty posted her IL Drivers License as bond and was released.

 

Jason Farmer, 42, Decatur, was issued a citation for Operating Uninsured Vehicle. Farmer posted his IL Drivers License as bond and was released.

 

Christina Nation, 33, Clinton, was arrested and charged with Criminal Damage to Property and Criminal Trespass. Nation posted the necessary bond and was released.

 

 

ALL SUSPECTS ARE PRESUMED INNOCENT UNTIL FOUND GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW.
