DeWitt County has a few County employees who have recently announced their retirement.

The public is invited out to retirement parties being held for these retirees. The first will be Wednesday  for long time court reporter Marsha Young. DeWitt County Board Chair Melonie Tilley explains Young has been an employee of the County for over 30-years. Young's time with the County includes serving in the old Court House on the square and now in the new County Building.

Sprague has chosen to continue serving DeWitt County on a part time basis until his position is filled. County Highway Engineer, Craig Fink, will be in charge of finding Sprague's replacement.

The Court System is in charge of filling Young's spot, and according to Tilley, that position has already been filled. Supervisor of Assessments, Sandy Schlosser, will look to fill the position Ven Ness is vacating.

Again the public is invited to attend the retirement parties for these County employees.
