Blue Ridge Schools Come Away Big Winners At State FFA Convention

The Blue Ridge School District came out big in the FFA State Convention.

State Vice President and Blue Ridge alum Jim Tobin chaired the convention and gave a fare well speech. Superintendent Susan Wilson says Tobin's experience as an officer was one he will never forget. As a State officer for FFA, Tobin got to attend national conventions and took a trip to China.

Blue Ridge's chapter won the State Agricultural Marketing Team. Team members included Connor Builta, JJ Malone, Josh Plunk, Austin Maxwell and Kaityln Zelhart. Builta was named one of the top 4 state stars. Malone and Maxwell both won high individual awards, and Builta, Plunk and Maxwell all received state degrees.
