>>Cubs' Dempster Denies He's Been Traded To Braves

(Pittsburgh, PA)  --  Cubs pitcher Ryan Dempster is denying reports that he has been traded to the Braves.  Dempster posted on his Twitter account, "THERE  IS NO TRADE dont know where this info came from!"  Multiple reports had Dempster going to the Braves in exchange for rookie pitcher Randall Delgado.

>>Yankees Acquire Ichiro Suzuki From Mariners

(Seattle, WA)  --  Ichiro Suzuki is the newest Yankee.  The Bronx Bombers acquired the 38-year-old Japanese outfielder and cash from the Seattle Mariners on Monday for minor league pitchers D.J. Mitchell and Danny Farquhar.  Ichiro, who is a ten-time All-Star, won both the AL Rookie of the Year and MVP Awards in 2001.  He went 1-for-4 with a stolen base for the Yankees in their 4-1 win over the Mariners in Seattle Monday night.

>>Tigers Acquire Sanchez, Infante From Marlins

(Detroit, MI)  --  The Detroit Tigers have acquired starting pitcher Anibal Sanchez and infielder Omar Infante from the Miami Marlins.  The Marlins received pitching prospect Jacob Turner, fellow pitcher Brian Flynn and catcher Rob Brantly in return.  The teams swapped their competitive balance draft picks in the 2013 draft.  The 28-year-old Sanchez, who is a free agent after this season, was 5-and-7 with a 3.94 ERA with the Marlins.  Infante is hitting .287 with eight homers and 33 RBI this season.
