Alex Rempe, 24, Clinton, was issued a citation for Speeding (74 mph in a 55 mph zone). Rempe posted his IL Drivers License as bond and was released.

 

Amanda Beyers, 35, Pana, was issued a citation for Operating Uninsured Vehicle and arrested and charged with Possession Cannabis/2.5-10 Grams and Possession Drug Paraphernalia. Beyers posted the necessary bond and was released.

 

Joshua McKinney, 28, Lovington, was issued a citation for Speeding (71 mph in a 55 mph zone). McKinney posted his IL Drivers License as bond and was released.

 

Erika Warner, 19, Lane, was issued a citation for Operating Uninsured Vehicle. Warner was issued a Notice To Appear and was released.

 

Dwayne Durbin, 24, Clinton, was issued a citations for Operating Motor Vehicle When Registration Suspended For Non-Insurance and Operating Uninsured Vehicle. Durbin was issued a Notice To Appear and was released.

 

Nathan Robinson, 19, Weldon, was arrested and charged with Consumption Of Liquor/Minor. Robinson posted the necessary bond and was released.

 

Investigation into the scene of an accident which occurred at approximately 07:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, revealed that a vehicle driven by Sreedevi Chandran, 29, Bloomington, was traveling north on County Highway 14 from Mascoutin State Park. As Chandran approached the curve on Springfield and Bloomington Street in DeWitt she went onto the grass on 100 Springfield Street curving around a pine tree. Chandran navigated her vehicle east in between the house and the garage. Chandran struck the ditch and came out onto the east shoulder of Bloomington Street. The underneath plastic guard of Chandran’s bumper was still lying in the ditch. Chandran said she was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the incident and the airbag did not deploy. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was driven from the scene. Chandran was issued a citation for Improper Lane Usage. Chandran posted her IL Drivers License as bond and was released.

 

ALL SUSPECTS ARE PRESUMED INNOCENT UNTIL FOUND GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW.
