County by county June unemployment figures were released Thursday.
DeWitt County went up from 7.1 to 8%, and Piatt County rose to 8.4%.
Champaign and Christian Counties both jumped to 9.1% from 7.1 and 7.9% respectively.
Macon County is in the double digits again going from 9.6% in May to 11%.
Shelby County had a large jump from 7.8% in May to 9% in June.
Logan and McLean also saw rises with Logan reaching 8.6% and McLean at 7.6%.
Moultrie, Sangamon and Tazewell all remain under 8% but still rose to 7.7, 7.8 and 7.7 respectively.
Pulaski and Boone County have the highest unemployment rates in the state both rising to 11.7%. Boone County still holds onto the claim of the lowest unemployment rate in the state, but they rose from 4.0 to 4.8% in June.
The state's overall unemployment rose from 8.4 to 9.3%. On a brighter note, this is one percent less than in June 2011.
