Red Cross School Safety Tips

With the fall season approaching, school is now back in session.
 
The start of school brings many opprotunities for learning and discovery, yet there are also several inherent dangers that go along with a new school year.
 
Carl Baker, director of the Mid-Illinois chapter, of the American Red Cross has several tips for kids and their parents this fall. He says that it is important for children to know important phone numbers and other basic information.

Baker says one of the most important areas of school saftey to remember is traffic safety. There is always a good amount of activity happening before and after school and kids of all ages need to be careful.
