Defense Tries To Prove Reasonable Doubt

It's the second day of the Jesus Ramirez Trial in Sangamon County Court, and the defense is trying to prove reasonable doubt.  Defense attorney Sam Adam Jr., known for defending former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, tried several times this morning to prove there was no physical evidence to indicate Ramirez tried to fire at police officers.  Ramirez is accused of attempted murder after allegedly trying to shoot officers after a high speed pursuit from northern McLean County to Springfield.  Police officers say they saw Ramirez try to pull the trigger on the Smith and Wesson 9 millimeter, but it's difficult to see on police dash cam videos.  The defense is also trying to poke holes in the drug charges, alleging Ramirez's fingerprints were never found on the nearly kilo of cocaine found in the vehicle.
