Illinois Man Gets 60 Years For Role In 2010 Death

A judge in Decatur has sentenced a 39-year-old man to 60 years in prison for orchestrating a 2010 robbery that left a father of 2 dead.

Circuit Judge Thomas Griffith sentenced Bryain Young on Thursday in the death of Ishmael Adams. The judge said Young "put guns in the hands of very young men."

Two other men, who were 15 and 18 years old at the time of the murder, are serving 35-year prison sentences. Prosecutors say the men robbed Adams and another man of about $50 in July 2010. Authorities say the younger teen shot Adams after getting the money.

Another 19-year-old man is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to armed robbery in connection with the case.
