As heard on The Big 1520AM & 92.3FM WHOW and 95.9FM WEZC, the Monticello Sages defeated the Clinton Maroons 40-12 at Monticello.

For the Maroons (1-4),  Zach Pate had 12 carries for eight yards and completed two of 11 passes for 18 yards. Greg Osgood carried the ball twice for 53 yards and a touchdown. Kye Rekzek was awarded the Clinton Maroons IGA Player of the Game, carrying the ball 11 times for 50 yards and also had an interception returned for a touchdown.

For the Sages (4-1), Ryan Donohue had 28 carries for 95 yards and two touchdowns. Parker Trice completed seven of 11 passes for 58 yards and an interception. He also carried the ball 14 times for 59 yards. The Monticello Sages 1st State Bank of Monticello Player of the Game award went to Dylan Knisley who had 12 carries for 95 yards and three touchdowns.

The next Maroons broadcast will be next Friday night as the Maroons host the Shelbyville Rams on WHOW.
