Denny Hamlin bounced back in the Chase for the Sprint Cup after winning Sunday's Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Hamlin started the Chase as the first seed but had a disappointing run at Chicagoland which put him 15 points out. The number-11 car finished ahead of Jimmie Johnson for his fifth win of the season. Johnson's second-place run put him atop the Chase standings after two out of ten races. He's one point up on Brad Keselowski, who finished sixth. Jeff Gordon finished third at Loudon, followed by Clint Bowyer and Kasey Kahne. Defending Cup champion Tony Stewart was seventh.
