Health Department Warns Of Salmonella In Peanut Butter

At least one person from Illinois has fallen ill after eating Trader Joe's Salted Valencia Peanut Butter.  Doctor Connie Austin, with the Illinois Public Health Department, says there could be more.

Doctor Austin says if you have the peanut butter in your cabinet, you should get rid of it.

People in 19 states have contracted salmonella poisoning after eating the peanut butter.  Salmonella causes fever, diarrhea, and abdominal cramping and most people feel better after just a few days.  Trader Joe's has recalled the peanut butter.
